After attaining her WTA Tour quarter-final, american adolescent Coco Gauff is set to break in the worlds best 100 for the very first time.
The 15-year-old, that made a memorable run to the Wimbledon 16 reached the Linz Open last eight when competitor Kateryna Kozlova retired.
Gauff has provisionally increased to 94th in the ranks, closer to automatic qualification for the Australian Open.
She dropped in Linz qualifying but entered the main draw as a lucky loser.
After the withdrawal of Maria Sakkari, when Allied Kozlova quit while trailing 6-4 4-6 0-2 Gauff beat Swiss Stefanie Vogele on Tuesday and improved again.
Gauff, that does not turn 16 is the youngest player to achieve a WTA.
The tournament is Gauff appearance since suffering a comprehensive defeat, which left her tears, by Naomi Osaka last month.
Gauff became the youngest participant in the Open era to reach the Wimbledon main draw and was given a wildcard to play with at her house Grand Slam at New York.
Though most would expect her to get a wildcard for the Australian Open, she is to be eligible automatically moving into the primary attraction in Melbourne.
