Neil Black to leave role as UK Athletics performance director

Neil Black will abandon his position the governing body has announced.
Black had stated hed review his position after coach Alberto Salazar was banned a week for four years from the United States Anti-Doping Agency.
USADA began an investigation to Salazar, who had been Sir Mo Farahs former coach, in 2015 and at the time UK Athletics also reviewed whether he should continue to trainer Farah, but concluded there wasno reason to be concerned.
Black, who previously described Salazar asa genius, will afford Farahs involvement at the Chicago Marathon as planned this weekend.
An announcement from UK Athletics read:UK Athletics have declared that Neil Black will abandon his function as performance director at the end of October.
Neil will commence a comprehensive handover with performance staff until his passing and will fulfil his character supporting Mo Farah during the weekends Chicago marathon.
